Perfect for: lovers of sustainability, Mexican food, and eco modernism.
In the end, I had to go with 1 Hotel. This luxurious hotel chain is known for is focus on sustainability without sacrificing comfort or luxury. I wanted to guarantee my parents had a pleasant experience. Even though I had never stayed at 1Hotel before myself, I heard glowing reviews from friends I trusted.



My parents were blown away by the service and the entire experience of staying at 1Hotel Toronto. From the moment they checked in, everyone was so hospitable and warm. Their hotel room was also STUNNING, complete with a cozy sitting area and furniture made from natural materials.
They were surprised with a complimentary chocolate strawberry bowl and birthday note when they entered their room.



My parents had a delicious fine-dining birthday dinner at Casa Madera, 1Hotel Toronto’s upscale Mexican restaurant. The restaurant surprised them with a free birthday cheesecake, which was such a kind gesture.


They capped off the entire staycation the next morning with a healthy, nourishing breakfast, complete with fresh pressed juices and hearty entrees.
Overall, my parents truly had an UNFORGETTABLE birthday weekend at 1Hotel Toronto. The standard of excellence that 1 Hotel consistently meets is second to none, and I am SO glad I chose them to celebrate my dad’s birthday!
