Zesty Coconut Matcha Martini

An energizing, earthy twist on the classic lemon drop martini. Move over espresso martinis, there's a more refreshing, rejuvenating alternative in town (complete with L-theanine and other nootropics).
Cook Time 20 minutes
Servings 1 martini

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.75 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 packet or serving Matcha Powder
  • 0.75 oz Hot Water (Close to Boiling)
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2.25 oz Coconut Water

Instructions

  • Make the simple syrup by mixing 1 tbsp sugar with 1 tbsp boiling hot water (you can add a little more water if it's not enough). Also, stick your martini glass in the freezer to get a frozen glass.
  • Set aside a little bit of matcha powder (for garnish). In a cup or bowl, whisk your powdered matcha with 0.75 oz of boiling hot water, and 0.75 oz of coconut water. Make sure the matcha water is smooth with minimal clumps of powder.
  • Fill 1/3 of your cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, simple syrup, remaining 1.5 oz of coconut juice and the matcha shot.
  • Put the cap of the cocktail shaker on, and shake hard for 1-2 minutes. Pour in your martini glass.
  • Garnish by sprinkling the leftover bit of matcha powder on top your martini.
